The ILUMA Ultra Cone Beam CT Scanner was designed and developed by IMTEC, Inc, a proven supplier of advanced and successful industrial CT machines. The scanner incorporates an Amorphous Silicon Flat Panel Sensor - the latest proven technology in flat panel sensors. A medical-grade x-ray generator allows for full data capture during the scanning process.
The ILUMA Scanner is designed for easy patient positioning with a motorized chair, laser positioning guides and both head and chin rests. The technician can also move behind the patient to make sure of proper placement.
Patient Motion Reduction
Motion reduction algorithms help compensate for motion and correct imaging data if a patient moves during the scan.
Metal Artifact Reduction
Automatic metal artifact reduction limits the "scatter" or "starburst" effect of x-rays on metal. This feature allows for clear images, and more detail in the multi- and cross-sectional viewing.
Networking Capabilities
The ILUMA System's design enables you to reconstruct images, work-up case plans or view 3D images anywhere on your network.
Reconstruction data can be sent to multiple processors, making the scanned information quickly viewable. With the purchase of a license key, any workstation can view images, manipulate images and be used to plan surgery cases. Computers in the operatories, or other facilities, can use a service such as GOTOMYPC Software to access the images at any time.
